Happy New Year!

Posted by Sistah Girl |

Hellluuuu… and happy new year to ya’ll! I’ve been delinquent in writing- ( definitely not a new year’s resolution). I was sick with a mother sinus infection over the holidays and away most of the time so now that I’m back, I feel like I can get into the groove again! To be honest- Christmas wasn't so great due fully to the fact that all I wanted to do was sleep and I couldn’t taste, smell or enjoy the loveliness of the season- but it was nice to have a whole week off and not work for a bit. It was also great to spend some time with my Bro’s family who came up for the festivities. This past weekend- my bestest girls and I celebrated Christmas together in Calgary at Anna’s new place. Going on 5 years now that we’ve done this Christmas exchange. Myla wasn’t there in body, but we definately was there in spirit. A nice time of card playing, shopping, fondu, movies and chilling ( and of course opening presents) . It was a fabulous short little getaway. Now its back to reality and the start of what I hope is going to be a very adventursome year!

Much Needed Break

I love long weekends. Especially when I can actually utilize the few extra days off and go somewhere. This weekend I went to visit my Brother and his family in Northern BC. They just moved there a few months ago and I jumped at the first opportunity to go up and see the new house and town. Thanksgiving was the perfect excuse. They live on a lake. and it's so beautiful- kinda like you're on a mountain hideaway or something.
My Brothers back yard. Peace at its' finest
It was a perfect weekend of no cell phone service, wondeful weather, fabulous food and endless sleep. I so so needed that. Now I feel like I can function again!

Ukrainian Christmas

Well... people said they had issues with my other blog- so I thought i'd create a different one. No more complaining now. We had our girls christmas party this weekend. Good times. I got a fabulous jewellery case ( very much needed) and stainless steel coffee mugs ( also needed) both of these were at the top of my list so I was very happy.

Even though it was supposed to be a "secret santa" we all figured it out cuz we just can't keep anything a secret( myla had my name) and ya'll know I just need to know everything.

Lots of food, games and good girlfriends- and then of course there was the party crashers- Darin and Kris. Good friends are hard to come by... but when you got em- don't let them go.
